Eligibility

Phase 1A

  • Healthcare personnel: paid and unpaid people serving in health care settings who have the potential for direct or indirect exposure to patients or infectious materials
  • Long-term care facility residents: adults who reside in facilities that provide a variety of services, including medical and personal care, to persons who are unable to live independently

Phase 1B

  • Persons aged 65 years and older
  • Frontline essential workers including, but not limited to:
    • First responders: Fire, law enforcement, 911 workers,
      security personnel, school officers
    • Education: Teachers, principals, student support, student
      aids, day care worker
    • Food and agriculture: Processing, plants, veterinary health,
      livestock services, animal care
    • Manufacturing: Industrial production of good for
      distribution to retail, wholesale or other manufactures
    • Corrections workers and inmates: Jail officers, juvenile
      facility staff, workers providing in-person support, inmates
    • USPS workers
    • Public transit workers: Flight crew, bus drivers, train
      conductors, taxi drivers, para-transit drivers, in-person
      support, ride sharing services
    • Grocery store workers: Baggers, cashiers, stockers, pickup, customer service
    • Shelters and day care staff: Homeless shelter, women’s
      shelter, adult day/drop-in program, sheltered workshop,
      psycho-social rehab

Phase 1C

  • Persons aged 16 to 64 years old with high-risk medical conditions
  • Persons aged 65 to 74 years old
  • Other essential workers (as defined by ACIP and directed by the State of Illinois)
